“BEACH FLOATY THINGS”
This comedic short by Amara Sutton revisits her summer in 1980s South Carolina, filled with family chaos and sharp social observations. I was responsible for animating a memorable sequence where her aunt is quite literally swept away by the wind during a thunderstorm—a moment as absurd as it is hilarious. I also animated scenes that playfully, yet pointedly, explore the microaggressive racism they experienced, blending humor with social critique through expressive, story-driven motion.
